Brick slip installation, inside and out
Brick slips are thin slices of real or reconstituted brick that give you the look of a solid brick wall on a surface that could never carry one. We install them on interior feature walls, kitchen and restaurant backdrops, shopfronts and full exterior facades across London, Essex and Cambridge.

Why people choose brick slips
They are a fraction of the cost and weight of building in brick, they add insulation value when fitted over an insulated board system, and they can be installed on plasterboard, blockwork, render or an existing tiled wall once it is prepared properly. You get the texture and warmth of brick without rebuilding anything.
The substrate decides the job
Slips are heavier than tiles, so the wall has to be sound and the adhesive has to be right. We check and prime the background, use a slip-rated flexible adhesive with full back-buttering, and mechanically fix or use a rail system on exterior elevations where wind load and freeze-thaw come into play.
Setting out and pointing
Bond pattern, perp joints and corner returns are set out before anything is fixed, so courses land correctly at switches, sockets, reveals and ceiling lines. Joints are then pointed with a mortar mix matched to the slip — full weather-struck pointing outside, or a flush or raked finish inside for a cleaner modern look.
Where they work best
Restaurants, cafes and retail units use brick slips to warm up a hard shell in days rather than weeks. At home they are most common on chimney breasts, kitchen splashback walls, hallways and rear extensions where the original brick was lost.
