Tiling service
Mosaic tiling specialists
Mosaic is the most demanding tiling there is — hundreds of joints per square metre, every one of them visible. We fit checkerboard hallway floors, hexagon and penny-round bathrooms, glass and marble splashbacks, wet room floors and pool linings across London, Essex and Cambridge.
What we cover
- Black and white checkerboard and geometric floors
- Hexagon, penny round, herringbone and basketweave
- Glass, marble, stone and metallic mosaic
- Shower and wet room floors on graded falls
- Kitchen splashbacks and feature panels
- Curved, domed and pool surfaces
Flat, or nothing
Mosaic shows every dip in a substrate. We level and prime the base first, use a white flexible adhesive so it never grins through glass or light stone, and comb it to the right depth so the sheet beds evenly rather than sinking in patches.
Hiding the sheet lines
Badly fitted mosaic reads as a grid of squares because the joints between sheets are wider than the joints within them. We set out from centre lines, adjust each sheet by hand and cut individual tesserae into the edges so the pattern runs continuously across the whole surface.
Grout choice matters
Mosaic is mostly grout, so we specify to the use: a flexible cementitious grout for floors and splashbacks, and an epoxy grout in showers, commercial kitchens and pools where chemicals, staining and constant water would break a standard grout down.
Wet areas and falls
Because mosaic bends over a fall, it is the correct choice for a graded shower floor or a formed drainage channel. The area is fully tanked before tiling and the mosaic is bedded onto the fall rather than forced flat.
